Wedding Preparation Day 1 - Friday 1 Dec

Today marked the first day of my annual leave, and supposedly preparing for the Big Day. Well, let me tell you what I achieved......

I picked up my dear friends earlier this morning from the airport who have travelled all the way here from Malaysia - SY & HM. We have so much to catch up on, so we have been talking the whole day. We drove around suburban Melbourne to run a few errands before taking a rest in the afternoon. My husband-to-be then joined us after finishing work for the day and we went to Lygon Street, Carlton for a little Italian fare followed by an Italian-Asian dessert..... I say Italian-Asian because we had gelati, but durian-flavoured! Oh yummmmm....... Then we drove back via the scenic route back to show off our humble new home.

So the day was not entirely a wedding preparation day, but I did pick up my friends who will be helping to usher guests and collect gifts on the day. So, I suppose it is wedding-related!

In addition, B & I were disappointed by a cancellation by a guest who had previously indicated that they were able to accept our invitation. I think I was more upset by it, as a typical bridezilla would, because we had paid for the reception in full just 2 days ago on Wed. However, what irked me was the fact that no explanation was offered. I would completely understand if it was an emergency or a family-related issue or a health issue. But I suppose some people would rather not tell the world. Anyway, God, teach me to be gracious!

So despite all my fears, stress & anxiety, I think I may have a farly relaxing lead up to the wedding.

Hahaha... Agree with Adrian. Guests going AWOL in the last minute is normal! Expect 2-3% MIA for the dinner reception...

That's so impolite when ppl do that. I have found myself wondering why I bothered to invite some ppl...

Anyway, thanks for the well-wishes! There will be photos online by the professional photographer taken on the day of the wedding, ie. this Sat, I'll send the link once it is up and ready to go!
