The bulk of the work was done by our wonderful occasion planner, who we both have grown up with, and will always be fondly known as Aunty S. She came up with the decorations, made great menu suggestions, meticulously drew up plans and layouts of the hall, tirelessly cooked and ensured the event ran smoothly. Neither B nor I worried about details once our guests arrived.
We also had incredible helpers, and others that came to our rescue, or rather to my rescue with my last minute ideas! (Thanks for creating the posies, EC!)

However, it all went rather quickly. Not long after guests settled in, mingling, eating and sipping the lovely non-alcoholic fruit cocktail, B had to do his token speech, which I thought he did really well. He hates public-speaking, but given the pressure, he rose to the occasion. Soon after he thanked everyone, we cut the cake and I did an impromptu speech. I didn't want to, but TK started it and everyone decided I should say something too.
Before we knew it, it was time to pack up the place and clean up. The only regret I had was not having photos taken with the bridal party, who are just our closest friends! I barely even had a photo with my sister, but fortunately we had a family shot.
We received incredibly generous gifts - thanks to all! They will definitely come in handy at our new home.
Now I guess it is time to look forward to the major event...
